Workframe started life inside a small remote team that needed a better way to manage leave. It is now a product in its own right, owned and operated by Simpson Soft UK.

We needed to see who was working and who was away. The leave tools we tried assumed everyone worked the same five days.
So we built our own, starting from each person’s working pattern. Leave, allowances and the team calendar all read from it.
The same team then wanted a simple record of what got done each day, without timesheets or tracking software. That became Work Logs.
